Ogarus Boerdery is located on a portion of 91/90 of the farm Hoeko no 82 in the Kannaland Municipality, Ladismith Division, Western Cape Province. (A Google Earth map is attached) Traditionally, the farm has operated mainly as an apricot, fig and prune supplier, which are generally the most popular cultivars in the Hoeko region. However, since almost all the farms in the region concentrate on the same products, the current owner took the bold step in 2019 to replace the traditional fruit trees with almonds and recently also added citrus. There is also a cash crop operation that alternates between winter and summer. PRICING Furthermore, a water bottling plant is under construction with the aim of generating a short-term cash flow, as well as adding the abundance of available spring water the farm's income.
